Montauk Life August 2006 The 2006 version of “summer in Montauk” is now in full swing! The kids are free, rampant and just generally enjoying the freedom of summer. Since my last month’s article the world has changed only slightly. The Middle East is seemingly self-imploding with rumors of world war. However, France has not been threatened or surrendered so at least by the last two world war standards, the world as a whole is still somewhat safe. Gas prices are still cheep in Saudi Arabia. Saddam’s lawyers keep losing their lives instead of the case, Osama is still at large, our esteemed Vice President has not shot any of his friends since February, and Never-Never Land is still closed!
