This program is conducted by the founders of the Mightyman: Steve Tarpinian and Chris Pfund.
Although the main focus is for the Mightyman Half Triathlon, the workshop will be a great addition to all athletes of all levels participating in the Mightyman, Mighty Hamptons or any fall triathlon.
A two day training workshop on the actual Mightyman course is included. The official training program for the Mightyman is available from TTUniversity.com Our maps are available at eventpowerli.com to everyone in the Information package for the Mightyman event.
This super sprint distance is perfect for beginner triathletes. This is a terrific race date because it falls one week before two near by Half Iron distance events (Poconos 70.3 and the MightyMan Montauk) making it a great tune up for athletes participating in one of these premiere events. What a terrific opportunity to practice your transitions and make sure all your equipment is working properly.
Fast 500 meter Narrow Bay swim that continues on to a flat and fast 20K (12.3 mile) bike ride over the Smith Point Bridge to Wertheim National Refuge and back, followed by a scenic 5K (3.1 mile) run over the bridge ending at the Atlantic Ocean.
Great beginner and veteran sprint distance course, calm water, mostly flat bike loop with one challenging climb. The run is beautiful and mostly flat with a 1 Kilometer rolling section around Fort Pond. Great weekend for any triathlon enthusiast, to be in Montauk at the best time of the year (after the crowds are gone yet all the restaurants, hotels, attractions are still open) and the weather is ideal.
