This one-day clinic will highlight all the skills you need to ride a road bike. This is a must attend for beginners afraid of the sport, or for those who want to learn more about the sport of cycling!
Fast 500 meter Narrow Bay swim that continues on to a flat and fast 20K (12.3 mile) bike ride over the Smith Point Bridge to Wertheim National Refuge and back, followed by a scenic 5K (3.1 mile) run over the bridge ending at the Atlantic Ocean.
Great beginner and veteran sprint distance course, calm water, mostly flat bike loop with one challenging climb. The run is beautiful and mostly flat with a 1 Kilometer rolling section around Fort Pond. Great weekend for any triathlon enthusiast, to be in Montauk at the best time of the year (after the crowds are gone yet all the restaurants, hotels, attractions are still open) and the weather is ideal.

2010 MightyMan Camp
Dates: 8/2 and 8/3/2010
Location: Montauk, NY This program is conducted by the founders of the Mightyman: Steve Tarpinian and Chris Pfund. Although the main focus is for the Mightyman Half Triathlon, the workshop will be a great addition to all athletes of all levels participating in the Mightyman, Mighty Hamptons or any fall triathlon. A two day training workshop on the actual Mightyman course is included. All who register for this program will get an 8 week training plan that starts on August 7th and takes the athlete up to race day. Although we cannot endorse programs we are not familiar with, we encourage all groups who help athletes prepare in a safe way for the event.
